Waller Hugh Paton

Another Scottish landscape painter I found at the Scottish National Gallery, Waller Hugh Paton’s (1828-1895) work is pretty stunning and beautiful, the amazing atmosphere and scale of his paintings are what attracted me a lot.

I must say I really like the lighting of sunsets and sunrises therefore, I enjoy looking at his paintings where he managed to capture that misty feeling in the air and the nice colors of the sky.
