Herbert M. Herget

I recently found some the work of Herbert M. Herget on the mayan and Aztec civilizations and I thought it was really cool and well done. He made illustrations depicting the Mayan gods in a more realistic way with their beautiful and colorful clothes and decorations as well as scenes from daily life, rituals, etc.

Herbert M. Herget (1885-1950) was an American artist whose works consists mainly of depictions of the life of Native Americans, Aztecs, Mayans and landscapes. I couldn’t find much more information about him other than several art auctions.
