I found him on a post of one of the concept artists I follow on facebook. His seascapes are absolutely mind blowing in how natural they look. I’ve always thought that it is a bit pointless to simply copy an image from a photo trying to imitate every small detail in an attempt to make it photo-realistic if you can have the photo instead, but it is in cases like this one, when you can actually see the hand of the artist in the paint, that it is totally worth it. I am truly amazed by his seascapes!
Ruo Li is a Chinese artist born in 1954 who has won numerous awards for his work. You should go check his website where you can find many of his seascapes, landscapes, watercolors, still life scenes, sketches and other pieces he has created.
