J.M.W. Turner

I was acquainted with Turner’s (1775-1851) work at a class in my university when a teacher showed us one of his favorite painters and I could see why. He has got an impressionistic style to depict landscapes where he shows the power of nature as well as some innovations of his time, like the steamboats roaming the Thames. The atmosphere he creates with its colors and textures in a kind of abstract strokes is stunning.
